There is some interest in what I described as girlie pants.
Girlie pants is just a name I used when I was helping Kosov shop for four pairs pants for Phyllis, and I find they are too feminine. But that's just my opinion. He likes them and is entitled to dress as he likes and I wouldn't want to change him.
This is what I mean. They are fairly close fitting at the top but flare out wider the further you go down the leg. These are a bit restrained pattern wise compared to some he wears. They only cost between $15 and $20.

I like your attitude, I would help someone dress how they would want too, have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHippie pants I used to wear them in the 80s and 90s . Except they had wide elastic at the ankle ..Cool school . Though that pattern is a tad boring. Very fashionable among alternative people . Good for loungi g about Andrew, with polished nails and pair for night time plus your Grosby slippers Andrew add patchwork shawl for warmth and you are set!
ReplyDeleteAmusing but none of that is me.
DeleteAll I can think is how comfortable those look. lol Did you enjoy your shopping excursion? Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteI did really Darla. Two men shopping in a women's store, and trying to catch reactions...but there were none.
DeleteWhen I first read "girlie pants" I thought you meant some kind of frilly knickers. "Young people!" I thought to myself. Not to say: "Kinky!"
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe also some wondering about the older person and your menage generally.
MC, the menage works almost perfectly well. Frilly knickers have never been my thing. I get most kinks, but not that one.
DeleteThere's a guy i watch on instagram who wears a mix of women's and men's clothing. I usually think the look would be better with one or two less items but in general its just fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI hope Phyllis has as much fun!
Kylie, I see guys around wearing dresses at times, and they generally look like they are straight guys, even a bearded guy in our regional town of Ballarat.
DeleteI would only wear them in my apartment to lounge and do housework. I like to be comfortable.
ReplyDeleteThey do look comfortable Linda.
DeleteI have seen women wearing men's clothes and so what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
ReplyDeleteMy sister's wife wears mens underpants, so much cheaper apparently.
DeleteI would wear these. Look so comfy.
ReplyDeleteXO
WWW
Elasticised waist band too, WWW.
DeleteThey look comfy. Are they styled just for men - larger waist and length plus fly - or unisex with full waistband. If they do mail order could you email me the company details please. Address on my ‘about’ page. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI doubt it they are for men Cathy. I've sent you an email. Catch the train to Melbourne Central and have a look.
DeleteThey look comfortable and to me, like pyjamas.
ReplyDeleteI shall have to check and see if our "Harbourtown" still has a Valley Girl outlet, I could use some new pj's.
ReplyDeleteThey are probably ok as pjs, River.
DeleteAs marcellous says above, "pants" to me are knickers so I had a similar vision in my head when I first read "girlie pants"! Relieved to hear that he is wearing something altogether more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteJayCee, so what should I have said? Trousers? They don't look like trousers to me.
DeleteI suppose here we generally call them "bottoms" as in pyjama bottoms or lounge bottoms. Although that can possibly be taken in the wrong way too.
DeleteWhen out, men will wear trousers or jeans? Women will wear jeans or slacks?
DeleteAre they what's called 'patio pants' for lounging around the pool?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good description Thelma, but not to be worn by men out on the street.
DeleteBtw, is it pattyoh or pacheo?
Deletepattyoh of course!
DeleteI don't know a single person who would say pacheo, where on earth did you get that from?
I think paycheo might be an American pronunciation. I've certainly heard it.
DeleteI wonder what kind of top will go with that.
ReplyDeleteUsually a decent tee shirt, Kirk.
DeleteVery jolly! I thought you meant underwear . . . 🙁
ReplyDeleteAs I asked JayCee, they can't be called trousers surely, so what can they be called?
DeleteNot my style but if someone likes them, then nothing else matters!
ReplyDeleteWhat would Carlos think if you appeared in a pair of them?
DeleteI think they are known as palazzo pants. I have a few and find them very comfortable. Jose calls them clown pants 😀😃
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you Sami.
DeleteFunny! Yes, as Sami said, I would call them palazzo pants. Not that I have any. :)
ReplyDelete(I don't mean "funny" in a disparaging way -- by all means, if Phyllis likes them, more power to him!)
DeleteSteve, certainly not a word I've heard until now.
DeleteI would call them that as well. Andrew, much respect. I like your attitude: 'not for me, but to each his own'. The world would be a much better place if that attitude became universal, the world would be a far better place.
Deletehey look like they would be quite comfy, Andrew. Blogger isn't updating all the reading list so I am glad that I have you bookmarked.
ReplyDeletePat, that happens at times with feeds. I am sure they are comfortable, but do they look good.
DeleteWell, it is a look, and if it works well for Phyllis, then it's OK.
ReplyDeleteI would need pockets.
Will Jay
They must have pockets Will, as he carries his keys in them.
DeleteThey're close to what we called hippy pants or boho pants looks like.
ReplyDeleteBoho is for bohemian. I'm sure you knew.
DeleteBoho indeed, Strayer.
