Monday Mural

Sami and others participate in Monday Mural. This is a mural I snapped while Marcellous drove me around inner western Sydney last October under brilliant blue skies. Only later when looking at maps did I work our where we had been.

  5. That was pretty nimble of you to catch that shot. The mural ("Promise" by "Ox King" aka Stephen Nuttall) is inspired by the legend of Eliza Donnithorne, said by Australians (though it probably isn't true) to have been an inspiration for Miss Haversham in Dickens' "Great Expectations." If I had been able to tempt you to take a look inside the graveyard at St Stephens Camperdown (which we drove past shortly after you took this pic; you resisted the temptation) you could have seen Miss Donnithorne's grave.

    1. MC, while I am sure you could tempt me in many ways, no you didn't in that case. Thanks for the information about the mural, and I still have one up my sleeve.

  9. Very nice. I am confused by the cat though. Do you have a species of wild cats?

  10. Well I didn't realise that you were pally with Marcellous. He always leaves intelligent, sometimes thought provoking comments on my blog. It's nice that you know each other in real life.

  13. It's a bin chicken, right? They're underappreciated birds.
I haven't seen the mural but there's a good number of good ones in the Inner West

Flights

I confess I am not great with a camera, still or video. I did capture this video of planes on Australia Day. Then there were plane flyovers ...
