I've always liked this phrase and I wouldn't have a clue about its origins, the phrase being 'All over the place like a mad woma...
Some very pretty flowers there. Ours are all fading fast, but the bees were still busy on the lavender and Passion flowers, I worry for them
ReplyDelete( the bees ) that they'll stay out too late and perish in the dropping temperatures. I guess they know when it's time to get back to the hive.
Alison in Wales x
May the cyclamen hang in there a little bit longer.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. You're heading into spring, and we are heading into autumn.
ReplyDeleteFlowers are lovely Andrew. I can never get a cyclamen to return to it's former glory the year after, so don't buy them anymore. What a pity.
ReplyDeleteAzalea hedge does look good.
The red daisies look exactly like a whole bed of them I photographed here in the grounds last week. Do you have anyone you can give the cyclamen to? If planted under a tree where it gets dappled sun it will live quite a long time even in a pot, though maybe a slightly larger pot.
ReplyDeleteThe African daisies are cool. I hope they last but if not, buy some more. Even better, when house guests ask what type of wine to bring you, say no thanks.. but red daisies would be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteNice flowers.
ReplyDeleteAzaleas are my favourite garden plants. Always a delight.
ReplyDeleteWe have an osteospermum (African Daisy) in our garden too, a purple variety. It flowers really well too.
It's nice to see your signs of spring! We have an Osteospermum but ours is orange. I'm undecided whether to try to see it through the winter.
ReplyDeleteOur flowers are coming towards an end which is always sad. The basil is still flowering which the bees love.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers. The cyclamen is a gorgeous colour.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers ! I don't know the names except for the classical once, like tulips, roses etc, but nothing else ! That's nice that Phillis is cooking ! Hope it's good !
ReplyDeleteAh, you have a cook in the house now. That is a good thing. Beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteAnd we head into fall, temps are dropping. But at least a lot of sunshine!
