Sami always has a Monday Mural and others do too.
To save you the bother of neck craning, the words say, "Legacies meld here. Crowns with stolen jewels wash away. Growth remembers loss". Well, that is deep!

It wasn't hard because I could do it while standing. Kosov was most impressed with my tool skills once he arose from bed at 2.30pm. At ...
Well, the mural is at least quite colourful I suppose.
ReplyDeleteKosov seems quite comfortable down there on the floor.
JayCee, I only allow him to crawl around the apartment, so he is never off the floor.
DeleteFreshly ground spices have more taste and aroma than preground ones. Worth the effort. And oh to be able to get down to the floor (and back up again) so easily.
ReplyDeleteDefinite depth to the mural. Do you know what it celebrates/commemorates?
I am sure they do EC. It isn't very elegant, but I can still get up off the floor. I have no idea about the mural and I can't even guess.
DeleteInteresting to see your life more interesting than mine right now
ReplyDeleteRoentare, I am not sure I want an interesting life, but it does keep me on my toes.
DeleteDo you think the stolen jewels part relates to British Colonialism?
ReplyDeleteSomething like that was where my thoughts were going Debby.
DeleteAre you sure that Kosov was grinding spices and not masturbating?
ReplyDeleteYP, I don't know. I thought it was a pestle in his hand. If it wasn't, he is a gifted young man.
DeleteWho's the other person?
ReplyDeletePhyllis, Kirk.
DeleteSounds a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice Cloudia.
DeleteColourful slippers of your lodger I assume.
ReplyDeleteFun60, he only bought them two weeks ago. He is very chuffed with them.
DeleteAnd that would be Phyllis's legs in the background? The mural is a little colourful at least. What show is Jo rehearsing for?
ReplyDeleteRiver, yes, indeed. It's original, with the students writing the show and...whatever. Bone Doctor said not to bother journeying to Geelong to see it.
DeleteThe mural is a busy one.
ReplyDeleteThe grinding on the floor, but why would he have sit in the way of going in and out! couldn't help myself.
Margaret, not that I could fit in the kitchen with the pair of them there already, but yes, he is a trip hazard for someone like me.
DeleteA powerful quote on that mural. Quite colourful, I can see a lot of flowers. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Andrew.
ReplyDeletePowerful yes Sami, but what does it mean?
DeleteWhy sit in the doorway?
ReplyDeleteYour lunch out sounds nice.
JB, indeed he could have comfortably sat at the dining table on a chair. I like seeing Bone Doctor without Sister around.
DeleteFresh ground spices are the best, but I can't see myself sitting on the floor, or spending time to grind them the way his grandmother did.
ReplyDeleteTP, yes, I expect his grandmother did so. But keep in mind, if Phyllis and Kosov have families who can send their sons to Australia to study, they are not from poor backgrounds. Phillip works but would not earn enough to fully support himself here. Kosov doesn't work but is looking for a job. They are both clearly supported by family.
DeleteThings that I too for granted now impress the hell out of me like grinding spices on the floor without needing a crane to get me back up again. How life has changed for you Andrew!
ReplyDeleteXO
WWW
In so many ways, WWW. And it is not all bad.
DeleteI like the flowers of the mural but have no idea what it means.
ReplyDeleteKosov looks quite comfortable on the floor but I hope no spices went onto the carpet, Andrew.
Pat, I would have certainly had something to say about that if it happened.
DeleteI too noticed Phyllis's colorful slippers! LOL
ReplyDeleteSteve, he was so pleased with them.
Delete:D
