Monday Mural

I'm joining it with Sami and others for Monday Mural.

I think I took these in a lane off Little Malop Street in Geelong. They are pretty damned good in my opinion.

  2. The Stalker

Andrew I think this work… was done by Rone….the same bloke who has the exhibition in the Flinders Street Ballroom at the moment . He also had an exhibition in Geelong in 2021 ..

    1. Maybe Stalker. The male has a name SMUG on it but that could be someone's tag. We walked along Flinders Street a couple of days ago and you should have seen the queue to see the exhibition. Did you have to queue?

    2. Yes the other bloke is Adnate.. did some research such clever artists both have exhibited overseas as well
We only queued for a couple of minutes because we arrived before our appointed time
You choose a time and then you can stay as long you like .

The music was written especially for the exhibition…haunting and reflective

  3. Once again I am amazed at the excellent perspective and detail in such large pieces. I don't know how they manage it. Great talent and much underrated by so many.

    1. Caro, I don't know how they do it, mind I couldn't even hope to make a smaller version.

  6. The mural of the boy was painted by Matt Adnate, great artist who paints a lot of Aboriginal faces. The girls are by Tyrone Wright aka Rone. Not sure about the bearded man. Great murals Andrew, thanks for participating in Monday Murals.

    1. Thanks Sami. I've put up his murals before. He is very talented. So Anon above is correct about Rone.

  7. The artist has done a great job by painting these amazing murals to feature faces...

  8. Even if painted by different artists I like the contrast between the young and the old. The ‘wonder what’ look is evident in their eyes

    1. Cathy, don't they really have a far away look in their eyes. You should enlarge the boy mural. He has liquid eyes. Amazing.

    1. They are indeed Debby. As I said above, enlarge the photo of the boy's eyes.

  13. I believe they are works by Adni the legend artist? Great mural indeed

  14. Well Roentare, I think two artists have been established fairly well. I don't know of Adni, or do you mean Adnate?

  17. I was taken by the wrinkles around the older man's eyes and cheeks. Brilliantly done.

ANZAC Day 2024

This is a somewhat different type of war song, about a war I can more closely relate to.  We will remember them.
