Along with River and and others, here is is my Sunday Selections.
Crouching tiger, ready to attack.
My goodness, does Phyllis know how to fry spicy chicken.
It would be rather sad to not have the complete set. South Melbourne Library and not a set of books I know.
Things come and go on the kitchen benches and the shelving unit. I know not the reason.
The sun arises as the bush burns.
Bugger orf Kosov. My whisky consumption is not your business. This was in retaliation to something I'd done.
Travelling to a wedding in a Yank Tank.
With more Yank Tanks following.
The number plate on this car made no sense to me, and nor did what I think is a stylised US flag.
I see a bad moon arising.
What is a slippery metallic slimy???? Or perhaps I do not need to hear about it.
ReplyDeleteSee Margaret's comment below, Hels.
DeleteWhat a beautiful plate of delicious looking food! My presentation skills are sorely lacking. lol My husband doesn't care, though, so I guess it's no loss.
ReplyDeleteThe term Yank Tank makes me giggle. It's perfect! Such vehicles are big hits at classic car shows here. ~grin~ And rearranging items is a way for some (not me, of course - lol) to prank a significant other. That's just an idea. Be well, and best wishes to those in the path of fires.
Beautiful sunrise 🌅 photo and night 🌙 shots.
ReplyDeleteI love the sun and moon shots and those tiny ships on the bench. The fried chicken looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos but now I have "bad moon rising" as an ear worm. Thanks, mate!
ReplyDeleteThe sun and moon ones are so nice!
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember World Book encyclopedia, a mainstay of the high school library back in the day. I wonder if it still is, and if it's still in book form. Have any idea when the edition pictured here came out?
ReplyDeleteI don't know Kirk. I will try to remember to check the next time I visit.
DeleteInteresting Sunday selections. The cat looks cute peeping out behind the book shelf.
ReplyDeleteOh how I remember slime! Kids have so much fun with that. The Lego looks interesting and pussy ready to pounce it seems hiding to get ready.
ReplyDeleteLove photos of the moon and sky.
This is such a fun and eclectic mix of photos, and I am totally obsessed with those vintage Yank Tanks because they look so cool and massive in a wedding procession. Do you think the South Melbourne Library will ever find the rest of that book set, or is it destined to stay incomplete forever? Have a wonderful and happy weekend, and I actually just shared a new travel post that you are invited to read at www.melodyjacob.com.
ReplyDeleteCats pick the perfect spots to lie in wait!
ReplyDeleteThe cat is hiding to protect you.
ReplyDeleteI like crouching tiger, Andrew.
ReplyDeleteInteresting little items to keep you on your toes.
ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting assortment of countertop toys. I kind of like the plastic capybara, or whatever it is. The "yank tanks" are pretty cool -- cars were stylish then, but I bet the mileage is terrible.
ReplyDeleteSteve, the capybara is soft and squishy. I've grown to like it when it makes an appearance.
DeleteI enjoyed your selections very much, it's nice to get a glimpse into your world.
ReplyDeleteI see the bad moon a-risin'
ReplyDeleteI see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightnin'
I see bad times today. From one of my favorite bands and its the only working CD I have right now for my car CD player so I listen to Creedance whenever the classic rock radio station is playing trash songs. That plate of food looks soo good.
It is not a bad song at all Strayer.
DeleteAnd I love ❤️ the cat 🐈 😻
