The area has recovered nicely, at least as far as the natural world is concerned.
ReplyDeleteKirk, fires in colder countries means it takes much longer for forests to recover, as we saw in Canada a number of years ago. Generally our bushland knows how to cope with normal bushfires.

ReplyDeleteRiver, it took a long time for the falls to be officially reopened, but a very nice job was done for public viewing, including lighting of the falls from dusk to 11pm.
