Beware of catching WTD.

A rather nasty disease appears to have crossed our island nation's borders, which I will for simplicity call WTD, White Teeth Disease.

This disease seemed to only affect famous people but it now seems to had dropped from A listers, to B listers and now to the great unwashed. Or maybe it is a crossover gene from dark skinned people who can look so handsome with nice white teeth against their brown skin tones.

It appears SiCo (say that in your head)  Simon Cowell, is an unfortunate victim and along with so many.

Miley Cyrus seemed to have a milder case of WTD.

There are ways to avoid the WTD. If you see the word 'whitening' when driving, walking or surfing the net, do not stop, pause and definitely do not click. Have a little pity for those suffering from WTD. Keep your teeth healthy by regular brushing and flossing and hopefully you will keep your natural look and not be a victim of WTD.

  1. Those teeth look as if they glow in the dark!

  2. Those are very scary teeth. Mind you, the glow may help them to read in bed in the dark?

  3. I am loving the two earlier comments. I wonder whether those teeth mean that they also have to change their laundry products. After all your teeth can't be whiter than your shirt...

  7. Have you ever seen the friends episode in which Ross whitens his teeth? It will make you laugh.

  8. You're funny. People are obsessed with teeth whitening here and pay a lot for treatments of all sorts.

  9. I have always admired Lisa Wilkinson's great teeth and good bone structure. She is about my age and looks fabulous on TV.
Then I happened to sit next to her in a cafe and she looked like a gargoyle. The teeth were incredibly huge and blindingly white.
Simon looks like he's got a full set of dentures

    1. Very interesting Kylie. While she is older and no longer looks young, I thought she would look quite good. Simon's teeth make be a faked photo. They truly look awful.

    1. JB, what is wrong with a stick thin body? I had one of those 30 plus years ago. I kind of liked it.

  11. If you think they have a bad dose of WTD try checking out Rylan Clark-Neal (a tv presenter).

  12. Don't care for super white teeth at all and I think they look hideous.

  13. That was funny, actually I don't think glowing white teeth enhance the appearance. The eye is immediately drawn to them.

    1. Thelma, don't we go for the eyes first when we look at a face? Bright white teeth would draw our gaze.

  16. I don't have white teeth. I'm almost 62 and drink tea everyday, so stained and old. My grandson asks me why my teeth are that colour and I tell him because it's normal.

    1. Jackie, I suppose there must be a degree of whiteness that people choose. I guess some do just look like nice white teeth without the eye blinding factor.
