You can zip line across Melbourne's Yarra River. At less than thirty seconds it is quicker than I remember the orgasms of my youth. Strapping in safely takes some time I suppose, as does unstrapping. The zip line with thirty seconds of pleasure at $60 is very popular with people lined up. Children can zip for just $50.
You probably don't remember that we zip lined in South Africa a few years ago. At one zip line, R missed his footing at a platform and he came backwards to the middle of the zip line, to much amusement among our fellow travellers. There goes R, and here comes R back again.
I iz not paying $60 to zip line, but it does look like fun.

As I read this post it is still Friday in the Northern Hemisphere. I am not sure that I would try it - but I might. $60 for 30 seconds is a lot though.

ReplyDeleteRe Thursdays post….Andrew it was actually a trolley car in San Fran went back through my notes….I also rode on a suburban bus route., wrong bus ended in up at the end of the line in the burbs I wouldn’t choose to be at night…fortunately it was mid afternoon… Public transport though …just love it

ReplyDeleteI did something similar at a scout camp when I was a cub scout leader. It was a lot of fun and free. I wouldn't pay $60 for that.

DeleteZip lining seems very popular. On the Today show last week, they showed Robin Roberts Zip Lining (that's what they called it although it looked more like a bungee jump) off the tallest building in New Zealand.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the hot air balloon ride my husband and I took a few years ago. The tickets were a gift from my parents. He wasn't keen at first, and I suggested that he let me go twice. ~grin~ However, once airborne he entertained the crew and two other patrons with his technical questions.
