Friday Funny

Hels of Art and Architecture, mainly drew my attention to this article after I used a photo of this ridiculous looking motorhome.

I really laughed when I read the short piece. While I don't like Clarkson, he can be quite funny at times.

Here is a summary YT clip of the episode, 8 mins.

So what eventually happened to the campervan? If you read the article above you would know but for simple folk, here is another brief clip, 3 mins.

  1. Oops.
And yes, I don't like Clarkson but that did make me smile. Thank you.

  2. Funny that they really made the van down the cliff. That is nasty

    1. Roentare, it was made by the BBC. There would have permits obtained, the mess would have been cleaned up. Don't believe it was something that wasn't fully scripted.

  3. I hope the "Top Gear" people cleared up the mess at the base of the cliffs. It was a deliberate act of flytipping along with the potential pollution that the petrol in the vehicle's tank may have caused. ****ing Idiots!

    1. YP, it was BBC made and scripted, so of course the mess would have been cleaned up. I'm sure not a fish was harmed in the making.

    2. They may have also caused some extra cliff erosion. Perhaps it wasn't fully thought through. Although I am proud of the BBC, it is not perfect.

  4. I went back this week to see what Jeremy Clarkson said about Meghan Markle, and although it had nothing to do with the campervan above, it reconfirmed his position as the most vulgar man on tv.

    1. Hels, what Clarkson said was shocking, extremely vulgar and hurtful to Mrs Harry. Not that I like her, but it was below the belt.

  5. I'm rather glad that monstrosity got tipped over the cliff, it was a danger on the roads for sure. As for that other one with the bits that didn't quite fit together, I wouldn't even buy a cubby house so poorly planned. I am wondering what was that silver-plane-without-wings thing the third person had on the roof of his car.

    1. River, I guess you didn't find it funny. Remember it would have been fully scripted with all safety issues addressed. I just loved the tree on the bonnet of the campervan and that the 'cubby house' owner had built over the petrol filler cap and had to saw it away the excess.

  6. I used to love Top Gear and the shenanigans they got up to but I guess, like so many things, these too are now frowned upon.

    1. With my limited knowledge of the show Caro, what would be frowned on now by a well produced and well scripted tv show made by the BBC?

  7. The show was comic genius. He can be a bit of an ass, but he can write, and he is funny.
