Christmas Cheer

Here are a few photos and a couple of clips I've taken in the lead up to Christmas.

Our Christmas tree in the harsh daylight.

Better at night time.

Prahran Square. I like the exotic tree framed by Eucalypts and then the modern library.

A niece and some greats may be visible.

Who doesn't love a choir singing Christmas music.

Christmas tree at Federation Square.

A little street happiness.

The neighbours' across the have and annual Christmas Party, which was Saturday night a week ago.

It is hard to know how many guests there are but a lot. About ten catering staff set up during the afternoon and returned later to cook, serve and a tidy up.

While most of the DJ's music was to my liking, except this song, wow was it loud. It could be heard in my bedroom which is generally quiet aside from some white noise. Fortunately it stopped at midnight. How the other half live.

Our building's Christmas tree.

Our Christmas table runner, a gift from our Friend in Japan. Damn, when I put it back after dinner, I put it is upside down.

Merry Christmas or Season's Greetings to you all.

    1. Thanks Pat, and in return to you. Your weather doesn't seem quite as bad in some places on your continent. May that continue.

  3. Merry Christmas and wish you the best. These images are straight out of Melbourne streets. It feels so wonderful listening to the Prahan market cacophony. Somehow it feels home!

    1. Thanks Roentare. Maybe it will be your physical home one day. You are certainly very familiar with our city.

  5. Merry Christmas to you both. Stay safe on the roads.
How rude you weren't invited to the party.

    1. Caro, for me to attend something like that I would liken to a draining public performance. But yes, I should have been invited so I could say sorry, Doc Martin is on tv tonight.

  6. All the Christmas trees are nice but the best picture is the little cottage with the "street happiness". Merry Christmas :)

    1. River, it wasn't until I viewed the photo did I realise it is a commercial premise and not a private house. Still, it's very nice regardless. Thank you.

  8. I hope the neighbours' invited you to their annual Christmas party on Saturday night a week ago. Otherwise you would have heard the glasses clinking, smelled the food and rocked around to the music, without sharing the fun.

    1. They did not Hels and may they be crucified for not doing so. I would have said no anyway as The Bill was on tv, or something like that.

    1. Thanks Gattina. It is interesting here in so far as we heard very little Christmas music anywhere until a week before. I can only guess why.

    1. R's doing Marie. It is not great for Kris Kringle as no one wraps anything as he does.
