Not very princely

You will have all seen the photo of Andy Mountbatten slumped in the rear of the police car. Andy is no longer a  prince, and instead of being prince like, sitting up straight and looking straight ahead, he thought he could outsmart the best paparazzi in the world, providing great grist to the media mill worldwide. It just proves what a tosser he is.

One commentator said he was the first royal to be involved with police since the Princess Anne dog biting incident. I seem to remember Princess Anne being intercepted by police for speeding in her younger years, let alone Prince Phillip's car crash where he was at fault, and stripped of his driving licence.

I made a comment on someone's blog that I had a rethink about and concluded I was wrong. My thinking was maybe Andy Mountbatten might be caught out by providing information to foreign sources. Kind of like Al Capone was caught out by the US tax department. He went to gaol, but not for many other crimes he committed. If Andy Mountbatten goes befores courts and receives a conviction for some corruption issues, does it matter if he is convicted and serves gaol time, just not for the other crimes he might have committed, with the suggestions those could be trafficked and underage women.

I conclude it matters big time. From US #47 to Andy Mountbatten, and all those others who took advantage of Epstein's and Maxwell's 'hospitality', investigate them and charge them with crimes they have committed, starting with #47 but don't leave Mountbatten out.

In other news, I gave Kosov a driving lesson today, and he drove on big roads and busy roads and while there is a long way to go, he didn't do too badly.

Phyllis was emptying the dishwasher and broke my port decanter. At least is wasn't my Waterford crystal sherry decanter. He was so upset and sorry, and I was pleased that he took on total fault at his carelessness and did not try to blame anyone or anything else. We'll find a new decanter in a charity shop, or I'll just guzzle from the bottle.

He also repainted my fingernail, so that it looks nice for when Ray's nephew and wife arrive next week. Two coats of quick drying polish, with a slow drying protecting kind of coat on top. That with my pedicure today makes me feel rather good.

  1. Young Andrew was always an idiot and deserves his comeuppance, then, so do many more but they seem to be getting away with it.

    1. JayCee, like the Grenfell Tower fire, many vicitims will be dead before justice is done. The accused in these cases may well be dead before justice is done.

  2. It's the first time a royal has been arrested and taken to the police station on potentially serious charges that could land him in prison for life. This isn't in the same league as speeding where you're simply issued a ticket.

    3. Kylie, there justice is not done, even if he is locked up for other reasons.

  4. Surprised anyone would put a port decanter in a dishwasher. If crystal wouldn't it get scratched?

As for the info Andrew is said to have leaked to Epstein, wasn't it about commercial opportunities in Helmand province in Afghanistan? That's certainly aged well. Feels a bit like when the Germans prosecuted concentration camp staff for stealing gold teeth.

    1. The one is question was glass MC, but the Waterford one has been in many times, which apparently is not good for crystal, but it still looks fine.
I don't know what was leaked, but a leaking prince is not a great thing.

  6. I liked the way the Thames Valley Police followed the protocol to the T and kept the whole operation under wraps, not even keeping the King informed.
Even the police officers, who were tasked to arrest Andy Mountbatten, were merely told to come to the police station early in the morning, and they were told about even their destination and the mission only when they were on their way to the Sandringam Estate.
The police statement after the arrest referred to the King's brother as "A man in his sixties ... "

    6. That's a big call, Andrew. He wasn't arrested or even charged. BBC had to pay Richard compensation for their coverage of the police search of Richard's house. Personally I haven't any idea and relatively little interest. To me he seems a weirdo but I feel living in the goldfish bowl of fame probably does that to people. I'm probably a weirdo too, - almost everybody is if you know enough about them - just not for that reason.

  7. Meanwhile the US sits on their hands and their government has pedos hanging out with each other totally unaccountable. The intelligence compromise and secret trade deals are another matter altogether. But it's being going on for a very long time. Always sexual abuse and trafficking underlying all of that. Give these bozos unlimited funds by way of offshore, etc. and there are no limits to their depravation.

  8. When this scandal first broke, I assumed the names would just be what Gore Vidal once referred to as "the rich who are famous", which would certainly include the former Prince Andrew, while the rich who like to keep a lower profile (but who may actually exercise more power) would sidestep the whole thing. However, it's now coming out that quite a few formerly-obscure corporate and high finance bigwigs are popping up in these files. No rich person is safe. Nor should they be.

    1. Kirk, Vidal did have a wonderful way with words, and at times an economy of them. You are getting more information there of course than we are here, even if you have to step outside the mainstream to find it out.

Make him live the life of the people he has wronged and no protection like in prison

    3. Kylie, if I could live in a council flat as a pensioner I'd be laughing! Only problem is that the people I'd be living next door to might not be very easy to get along with neighbours.

  10. Guzzle from the bottle? Tut Tut, Andrew. Get a glass.
I hope Andy gets tried for and punished for EVERYthing not just a selection of this or that. He did wrong and he knows it. Time to face the music.

  11. So many venal people being caught in the headlights now. Epstein was a master manipulator and one wonders if there's any truth in the rumour that he was a spy. People are desperate to rub shoulders with the rich and influential, and judgement goes awry.

    And-rew Mount-batten!
    He's a bloke I'd gladly rat on!
He let his king and country down
So they drove the pillock out of town!
    And-rew Mount-batten!
With a fat arse that he sat on!
He lives on a farm in Norfolk now
With a pig, a hen and a Frisian cow!

  15. We have quite a few rich and powerful people here who need jailed for associations of various kinds with Epstein and his "business". Including our P, who is now I see on news, engaged in a new war. How he is paying for that when many of us can't pay our bills due to the high cost of living in the US, I don't know. But we the people don't count anymore.

    1. Strayer, it is quite clear to this foreigner. Tax cuts for the rich, health and welfare cuts for the poor, make everything more expensive by imposing high tariffs and alienate every country in the world to the point where tourism to the US drops markedly, especially from Canada.

  16. That's a bummer about your decanter. I agree that whoever took part in Epstein's shenanigans and knew what was going on, royal or not, should face justice.
