Musical Monday

This is a first class Flashdance. I had no intention of watching more than a minute, but I sat transfixed. The video was filmed in Paris.

    1. Wouldn't it be fun to be an observer, Roentare.

  2. Well, that put's the Beatles rooftop concert to shame. Much of the fun is watching the by passers' surprised reactions. Great choreography, but, assuming that street is open to the public at all times, how the hell would they have rehearsed something like this?

    1. I don't know the Beatles performance Kirk. I must look it up. I think the days of truly spontaneous flashmobs has ended. So many people know in advance that one is going to happen.

    2. That's why I'm a bit cynical. I find the mugging to camera reaction shots of various AMAZED! onlookers in the film clip a bit contrived. I would prefer to enjoy the fiction/fantasy of such an experience on my own terms without being so heavy-handedly nudged towards it.

    3. One of the best I've seen was I think the first I saw, from memory Vienna railway station and it was something from Sound of Music. There was one at Bondi Beach that was very good too, performed by drag queens.

    1. Margaret, I am not sure when it was made. I saw something about two weeks ago, but that could have referred to when it published here.
