Along with River and others, here are my Sunday Selections.
There was a exhibition at RMIT about Melbourne photo booths, one in particular and its long term owner. There were hundreds of photos of him testing his cameras. It was interesting to see him age. It is not interesting to see myself age, well not in the mirror at least. Also interesting is that there is often a queue to used the photo booth along side Flinders Street Station.
There were many many photos of other people in various poses, and three people had identified themselves to staff as there being photos of their younger selves on display. Yes, I asked that question. I wonder who these two guys are?Kosov says he is very antisocial, and there is nothing he likes better than being home with Phyllis, and me to a lesser extent. He has a calico bag to prove it.
At a hospital people had stuck up dog photos.
Also seen, local weather presenter, the very focused and striding Dr Adam Morgan, and AFL football commentator Mick Malthouse.

People at work like retails or real estate companies love to call instead of texts
ReplyDeleteRoentare, they do indeed. If you are looking to buy something or give new business, you can often get through very quickly. Not so much when you have a problem.
DeleteI understand the photos of beloved dogs. During a hospital stay, the patient and his/her dog much miss each other terribly.
ReplyDeleteThey would, Hels. It's not something I've thought about.
DeleteThree fingers? A Mickey Mouse hand of fate.
ReplyDeleteKirk, it is a curious piece of art, sitting two storeys above heads at outdoor tables.
DeleteThat 'garden gnome' gave me a giggle. So did antisocial Kosov's bag!
ReplyDeleteDebby, it took me a minute to work out what the gnome was.
DeleteHello fellow antisocialite 😃Your illuminted tortoise is a turtle, flippers instead of feet. Nicely mixed selection this week. I don't think we have such open houses where we can see the TV people in real life. I wouldn't go anyway.
ReplyDeleteBah River, I looked up photos and I still got it wrong. There are feet at the back. I think Kosov plays up the anti social, but he doesn't seem to have his own friends.
DeleteFeet at the back doesn't sound right, I think the designer made a boo boo.
DeleteAfter a further look, while the rear appendages are a bit short for turtle flippers, they are more flippe like than feet. I was wrong.
DeleteNice selection, good to have the lamp going once again.
ReplyDeleteThe fingers, interesting though not all there, a talking point of why, where are they!
That man Costa looks like a garden gnome anyway, Andrew.
The chair amused me, guess they staff got so tired of moving chairs back in place.
Margaret, I've certainly moved some hospital chairs around at times. There are never quite enough.
DeleteAn interesting choice of photos. The hand looks weird. So good that your house mate could fix your lamp cable.
ReplyDeleteDiane, I was going to unbolt the shelving unit from the wall. This solution is simpler.
DeleteMy blog feed recently seems to be delivering your posts to me very late. I have only just found this.
ReplyDeleteAnother intriguing selection this week. I would love to know more about the story behind some of them.
Perhaps I could consult Professor G.
JayCee, they should be published at 8.00pm your time. Otherwise, I don't know. I could research more, but that takes time, and I like to post daily, except when I don't.
DeleteThe photos from the booth are interesting, I bet it saw some sights.
ReplyDeleteI took my first passport photo in a booth. Imagine doing that now!
Kylie, I can certainly imagine the photo being rejected, if not at the Post Office then by the passport office.
DeletePhoto booths were quite a popular thing at weddings a few years back. I could do with a bag like Kosov's.
ReplyDeleteJB, I don't know about booths at weddings, but I like the idea. A theory has just come to mind. Anti social people are those who have a partner and or family around them.
DeleteBtw, is that a new photo? Is it called an avatar?
The hand of fate looks like my hand when my middle finger is locked down from arthritis. Your glowing tortoise is awesome.
ReplyDeleteStrayer, that is not good. It must make it hard to type at times, or maybe you are a two fingered typist.
DeleteI loved finding some of those old photos among old stuff of mine when I was cleaning out my parents' house, Andrew.
ReplyDeletePat, for all the wonders of digital photography, there is something more innocent and naive about printed photos.
