I thought I'd posted this but I can't see that I have. If it is a repeat, sorry. Having your sound adds to it when watching.
I thought that the top hats fitting into the train smokestack clearance in the tunnel was clever. It was clearly made for public viewing but who knows by whom and when.
Weird ... but funny ... 😁
ReplyDeleteThe train is collapsing by the look of it
ReplyDeleteOddball comedy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a relaxing video.
ReplyDeleteWonder what it was for???
ReplyDeleteI guess for entertainment Bob. A silent film that may have been much longer.
DeleteLooks like something out of a Charlie Chaplin film. Good find.
ReplyDeleteIs this Mack Sennett? I love moving the track to accommodate the donkey.
ReplyDeleteI had to Google him, Boud. Quite possibly.
DeleteCute! Just like early silent movies. I like the little dog and the donkey.
ReplyDeleteIncredible for its time and place. Loved that poor wee dog tracking it. Very good.

I love these old videos. Good one.
ReplyDeleteI am so curious. The music and sound effects sound very contemporary, don't they?
ReplyDeleteYes Debby. The would be a modern addition. I expect the film would have had a live piano or organ accompaniment.
DeleteI loved it! Those bumpy bits made me laugh, I guess levelling the ground wasn't even considered. I liked the little dog running behind too. And pulling the rails to get around the donkey, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteIts a metaphor for life 😊
ReplyDeleteVery cool
That was an entertaining video, the donkey in the way the dog following behind then it disappeared.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe joys of steam! Trains had become quite modern by the time moving pictures were invented (Thomas Edison was a telegraph operator in a train station before he created the first movie camera and projector.)
