Madison Mental

#45 held a party at Madison Square Garden. I was truly disturbed by the hate from some of the guest speakers directed at Hilary Clinton and Harris, let alone the vulgarity. I don't think I've heard anything like that in politics in my life. Is this person seriously running as leader of the number one country in the western world?

Who knows? Maybe the 'basket of deplorables' will vote for the execrable #45 again. As I was reminded today, women folk, your vote is private. No one among your family and friends will know how you vote. Please do the right thing, if not for yourself, but your American sisters. Women have already died because of refused abortions.

  1. I know. I watch in horror and, selfishly, fear for our own country if he is re-elected. It would encourage some of our own oxygen thieves.

    1. EC, yes it is a worry that the beast could be stirred here, and in Queensland there has already been an attempt.

    1. JB, what I heard was unbelievable. Just horrid.

  3. Can it get any worse? I've never seen anything like this in my life and there seems no stopping the ugliness. I am beside myself sick worrying if the nazi is installed into our White House again. I didn't watch the sh**show, of course I didn't, but my social media is blowing up about it.

I don't know if you like to read Andrew, but I'm reading a lovely book right now, "The Borrowed life of Frederick Fife" and it's set in Australia.

  5. I am closing my eyes, putting my fingers in my ears and singing " la, la, la, la..." until it is all over. God knows what I'll find when I open my eyes again though.

  7. If folks haven't noticed, Harris offers zero policies while echoing Trump's proposed changes, all reversals from her past. And her campaign, "Trump is Hitler" begs questions:
If Donald Trump is the reincarnation of Hitler, then isn't it her duty to steal the election at all costs?
Why do some of the smartest people known support him? Elon Musk, love or hate him, has nothing to gain and much to lose such as self and familial safety.
By the way, the supportive Israeli government would obviously see a Hitler-esque figure arising.
    Wake up, people!
Donald Trump isn't the anti-Christ nor the Messiah. All POTUS rely on competent staff. What needs to really change is the productivity of the United States Congress.

    1. Stick to your cats - they seem to have more sense!
Read more on Trump and his wretched father.
It is remotely possible you'll learn something but I wouldn't put money on it!

    2. Dear Darla,
Kamala Harris has absolutely no intention of stealing the presidential election. The clue is in the name - "Democrat" and Democrats are democratic.
      Yours sincerely,
      YP

    3. Darla, I stand aside from American politics. It is not my business, but if someone like Trump is elected, it is the world's business. It isn't about the merits of Harris, Democrats or Republicans but all about the execrable Trump.

    4. Thanks, Colin; I agree that cats have more sense than most humans and they teach me something new every day. What have you learned today?

And YP, I appreciate your input. What most folks don't understand is that the United States is a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy.
      Sincerely, an informed US citizen.

Andrew, bless you, what is execrable about someone who has put his life, freedom, fortune, et al at risk? Please live your life to the fullest and be well.

Be assured we’ll wake up after the United States presidential election and go on about our business regardless of outcome. To all, hug your loved ones, appreciate what you have, and enjoy great health, hope, peace, and prosperity.

  9. I saw a little of that deplorability on the news last night and there is a story in our newspaper today but I haven't read it yet. Maybe I won't. I simply cannot believe that so many are still willing to follow this idiot who can't even follow a single train of thought. I hope their women at least will vote for the more sensible Kamala and have their rights protected. I wonder if any of his followers are actually paid stooges so that he isn't preaching to an empty room?

  11. The absence of wisdom, kindness and intelligence was noteworthy at Madison Square Gardens on Sunday. Not only is #45 ignorant, bellicose and self-obsessed, he is also showing clear signs of dementia. By the end of 2028 he will be completely ga-ga. It is all most worrisome. If you are an American citizen PLEASE VOTE BLUE!

  12. He's an awful man and we are already seeing the rise of the lunatic fringe here in Australia, which I am pretty sure comes from his example

    1. Kylie, given out population, how many are there in this lunatic fringe? Very few, and they are heavily monitored but we must be vigilant at smacking them down when they raise their ugly heads.

  13. It is not our business how voters in another country behave I suppose. But there may well be consequences for other people on the planet if Fascists take over. And not just in the U.S.

    1. Hels, nicely put and why not call them fascists. They aren't interesting in democracy.

  14. I've been campaigning hard for Harris, postcard, phone, in person, done my best to get her elected, for months now. I was part of the activist group that got our statewide universal vote by mail, secure drop boxes and the ability to cure our ballot. So though I'm old, I'm active in support of what I believe. This election matters far beyond the US borders.

    2. Boud, I really like what is happening in female toilets where notes are stuck on the backs of doors emphasising to women that their vote is a private matter and no one's business, not even their partner's. As YP says, thanks for your efforts.

  16. It is astonishing that this man is on the world stage, poised to potentially become a global leader. I don't know how we've so thoroughly abandoned our ideas about how a leader and role model should speak and behave.

  17. Folks, I believe we will all wake up after the United States presidential election, regardless of outcome, and go on about our lives unscathed. So I suggest with heartfelt sincerity to live your best, appreciate your loved ones, and please enjoy great health, hope, peace, and prosperity free from useless hate.
