I may be in a film

Daddy was a cop on the east side of Chicago.
Back in the USA, back in the bad old days.

Sorry about the photos. They could have been a lot better.

There was a warning that if you were near these cars, you could be included in a film. I saw the camera swing directly in my direction and some excitement on the set. Ah, no, that is the back of the camera, not the front. Their loss.

    1. Anon, I really don't think I should. In fact I should not even be in radio.

  6. I might have waited around all day just for a few fleeting moments of screen time!

    1. Are you sure Bob? You are confident about your looks, style and clothing?

    2. I might have too. I could easily be one of those grubby bag ladies pushing a trolley of possessions.

  7. I'm with Bob, a few moments on screen would have been something fun to watch for in the movie.

  9. I NEARLY got into a film. "On the Beach" took place in Melbourne, filmed in early 1959 in Frankston. The crowds watching from a distance were huge, but the cameras avoided us.

A very unflattering rear view pic of me walking down our road is on street view, I remember the car driving slowly by 😉

    1. Alison, I too was caught by the Street View camera. I posted about it at the time but I can't find it now. It was a rear view and not so bad, but it showed me having a lanyard around my neck. I don't think I've ever worn a lanyard around my neck. It was very puzzling. I was checking the view of an Indian restaraunt at the time for dinner with Ray's great nephew and partner when I saw myself on Street View.

  14. Aww, you missed out on being able to say "I'm in that!" when someone mentions the film.

    1. River, can I at least say, I was in that but I had to be cut out as the film was too long.

  19. Oopsie! Did your heart speed up for just a moment until you saw the truth? Mine would have! (from potential embarrassment, mind you, not from excitement)
