I'm joining with Sami and others for Monday Mural.
I'd be surprised if I haven't posted these before, perhaps on my old blog, but they do look fresh so perhaps they are quite new. Maybe in Little Bourke Street.

No Sami mural this week, but here is mine, in a rather timely manner as controversial cartoonist Michael Leunig died a few days ago at he a...
I don't recall seeing them before and really like them. The man looks a tad worried about those stormy seas - and the gulls not at all.
ReplyDeleteEC, could he be the lighthouse keeper who has fled the storms?
DeleteOh I like those. Very atmospheric.
ReplyDeleteThanks JayCee.
DeleteStormy seas!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are Bob.
DeleteI have not seen that before. Very cool
ReplyDeleteRoentare, making me thing even more that it is quite new.
DeleteThey are all very good, but I really like the ship crashing through the waves.
ReplyDeleteIt's good River. Thanks.
DeleteLove it, though it makes want to stay on dry land.
ReplyDeleteKirk, so we won't talk about rising sea levels.
DeleteThey look good that man has his eyes very wide open.
ReplyDeleteIn fear perhaps Margaret?
DeleteStormy weather . . .
ReplyDeleteJB, I feel there might be a song in that remark.
DeleteWow ! that looks so real !
ReplyDeleteThanks Gattina.
DeleteBoth murals are quite nice. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Andrew.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure, Sami.
DeleteOcean scenes are so liberating in a crowded city :)
ReplyDeleteI so agree Hels, and our city is very close to the sea.
DeleteSomeone with genuine talent painted these connected friezes - enhancing the urban scenery.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you YP. Enhancing is good.
DeleteMakes me want to wish you, smooth seas and easy sailing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a perfect wish TP. Thanks.
DeleteI don't see fear in the man's eyes. I see a wariness, a clear acknowledgement that he is not in control of the waves, combined with the quiet confidence that the storm can be (and will be) ridden out. Which is an apt analogy for our lives, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt is a good analogy Debby. Riding out the storm(s) in life is a constant.
DeleteImpressive! Do you know what the Stella Maris Seafarer's Center does?
ReplyDeleteSteve, I believe it is a religious charity aimed at helpings sailors. Such charities have been around for a couple of hundred years at least.
DeleteNice looking mural. Painting huge murals like that must take some planning.
ReplyDeleteStrayer, I really don't know how they get the perspective for such large works.
DeleteThese are wonderfully done, Andrew.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pat.
