I'm linking with Sami for Monday Mural. These may well be a repost but I can't remember. They are newish photos taken in July.
This one is by the rather interesting artist Kaff-eine.
Lukas Kasper and another is responsible for these whimsical works.
I didn't know what to expect at this exhibition and it took a while for the theme to sink into my ageing brain. It was an exhibition by ...
If they are a repost I don't remember them either. Love the close up of the emu in the last. She looks positively flirtaceous. In a time raddled way.
ReplyDeleteEC, I know what you mean about the emu. Her best days have passed her by but she is still trying.
DeleteI think I know that chap in the middle one. He lives in Brisbane; rides a motorbike.
ReplyDeleteJayCee, did you recognise him by his tail?
DeleteI love these murals. They are very well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Roentare. I can't always get right about what viewers will like.
DeleteWhat a clever muralist Kaff-eine is. The silo looks brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI so agree Hels. I wish I cared a bit more about art and actually drill down.
DeleteI love the first mural. It reminded me of a children's book by Sandra Boynton called 'Barnyard Dance'. The other two are very well done, but I can't make heads or tails of what they're trying to say...or maybe the joke is on me. Perhaps there is no meaning.
ReplyDeleteDebby, possibly no meaning at all. As is often the case, when photographing I don't see what I am seeing until I see the photos and that was the case with the first mural.
DeleteBrighten up street scene.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on, and stay safe.
They certainly do Dora.
DeleteI love street art.
ReplyDeleteWe have rather a lot of it here Bob.
DeleteI like them all though I prefer colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks River.
DeleteThese are nice and different Andrew.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, I didn't realise how good they are until making this post.
DeleteThe first one reminded me of children's book drawings, it's very cute. Love the emu and koala in the last photo. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Andrew
ReplyDeleteSami, while the emu strikes you, the koala is really cool.
DeleteThe flower child Koala is cute.
ReplyDeleteI really thought so too TP.
DeleteI like these very much, particularly the first one. They're guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone's face.
ReplyDeleteJB, I really like that one too. Thanks.
DeleteBeautifully whimsical!
ReplyDeleteThanks ME.
DeleteI like these a lot especially the 1st one.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the first one Pat.
Deletethat horse and his passengers is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteXO
WWW
Quite some imagination in that one WWW.
DeleteThat's a pretty little house.
ReplyDeleteIt looks similar to one of those new little houses.
Ah yes, I had forgotten about tiny houses. It was ahead of its time.
DeleteI loved the quirky horse and images in the first photo and I enjoyed the koala in the last photo. But, Andrew, I didn't care for the guy in the middle photo at all. He scared me!
ReplyDeleteB&E, the first mural certainly wins the popular vote. I think the artist's intent was achieved by making the man scary.
DeleteThese are great! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure Darla.
