Mother had ordered her children's Christmas gifts and they arrived after she died. Not another bloody Labrador dog calendar. If we don't get a better one, we will use it. Quality tea towels would have been better. They are very localised calendars and so quite useful. I'm sure at times in 2024 I will look at the calendar and think of Mum.

ReplyDeleteYou'll think of her a lot. My mum died in 1986 and I still talk and think of her. But I bet if you had asked your mum for quality tea towels, they would have been Labrador dog quality tea towels.
ReplyDeleteDo use it and keep the pages. I don't do Xmas celebrations, but I do go out for daily day trips in the heat as a tradition. Also photographing house light up at night.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Mum she must have been. I think any kind of dog calendar is a wonderful present. I always get one of Darren and Phillip Staffy boys calendars for my drag queen loving granddaughter . Proceeds go to dog rescues.
