Monday Mural

Linking with Sami for Monday Mural.

Nearby to Doctor Snip featured in yesterday's Sunday Selections is this mural that proves just how difficult it is to paint the human hand and get the proportions right. I've seen plenty worse though.

  1. I have also seen much worse (and couldn't do as well). Shame about the tagging though.

    1. EC, yes. What horrible people to tag an artwork.

  2. It looks like the hand is grabbing a ball or something. Interesting to see that in that corner

  3. If I look at it fast enough, I don't notice all the little proportion flaws.

    1. Strayer, yes truly it is not bad until you look closely.

  4. The proportions might be off but the detail is excellent.

    1. TP, mine would be stick figure of a hand, if that is possible.

  8. Not too bad, actually, considering the artist had to work around some windows!

    1. Quite true Steve. Such things usually make murals more difficult.

  9. I have noticed that when a really skilful "artistic" mural appears in an urban environment, it isn't long before talentless oiks appear with their spray cans and tags to make a mess close by or even upon the mural itself.

    1. YP, that never used to happen as the muralist was respected but it is now a free for all.

  10. It's a nice mural, what a pity about all the tagging. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Andrew.

  11. Fingers are a bit stubby, but this is far better than many I have seen, It's sad about all the tagging, though.

    1. B & E, maybe I was too harsh. It is a reasonable effort. Yes, it appears tagging will now always be with us.
