Monday Murals

Not much here at this blog! Third post and some rather ordinary mural photos from a St Kilda laneway. A good opportunity to get rid of them. Identify where it is if you know.

  1. I like them! But as you know, there is no way for me to even guess. Hey, I heard on the news you all had flooding. Is all okay?

    1. Maribeth, not really ok for many in my state and it is ongoing. Our land is very flat and flood waters move slowly. There will be flooding of towns for a week perhaps as the water slowly drains away.

For the most part….sometimes our political opinions might differ but that happens in families as well. It’s as it ought to be
Aggie is her call name. Her brothers name is Wolfgang..aka Wolfie or Wolfman… a gentle loving boy almost 9 years old .
By the way I always love your photographs as well and the streets you walk around South Yarra and Prahran Markets and their historic buildings as we walk that area when we come to Melbourne Good wishes

  5. I sense an ongoing ennui in you, Andrew. I hope you get your spark back soon. Don't let the turkeys keep you down.

  7. By the sound of it - you need a blogging enthusiasm transfusion Andrew. I think that I would be the same. Losing a blog that was nurtured for almost twenty years must be almost like losing a best friend. But please keep trying to learn how to cycle once again. You have a lot of supporters.

    1. Cathy, my different way of looking at life amuses me but I won't ask exactly what you mean. I'll wear that moniker with pride.

  11. Interesting! Looks like a couple of different artists, maybe? I see a web address on the murals.

It's got to be hard to start again but as others have said, this blog will eventually build up and it will all seem more natural and normal.

    1. Steve, the murals are very old so it's interesting that there is a web address. At least I have a ready readership for the new, which is very nice.

  14. I like the murals very much, they're colourful and cheerful. As for the flooding, I see on my opening news page that many rural roads are collapsing because of it and will take much moola to be fixed, and all the homes being so damaged just makes me so sad. NSW is in the same boat I believe.

  15. Thanks River. The floods are very sad. It is wrong that new houses are being built on floodplains. I hope the remake the roads properly even if temporary measures have to be put in place.

ANZAC Day 2024

This is a somewhat different type of war song, about a war I can more closely relate to.  We will remember them.
