Monday Mural

You have to seriously embiggen this to see the names of the areas in my state of Victoria that were known to indigenous people. Large town names are shown, as is it seems the birds of local areas.

Later edit: To see the photo full size as it was posted using a desktop pc, right click on the photo and open it in a new window, a plus symbol should show on the new window and you should be able to see it full size. There will be an equivalent with whatever system you are using. I post all photos at full size, but I think Blogger may reduce the size somewhat. Still, there is great detail to be seen in the photo.

  1. Quite eyecatching and colourful. It must cheer up the location wherever that may be.

  3. There's no way my screen makes this big enough to read the names, but it is colourful to look at.

  4. That's interesting but can't read the names as the image made bigger by you isn't big enough - sorry Andrew. 😁

  5. It’s strange in that the photo opens ‘full screen’ from my Wordpress reader as well as The Old Reader yet slightly smaller via your blog (that’s on to m6 iPad). I can then use the 2 finger spread to see even more detail.
Must have been pretty big in real life

    1. Cathy, it's all quite confusing because of different systems, and yes, the photos are very big when they are posted.

  6. Yesterday my friend showed me her pictures from Guatemala that's the paradise of murals so colorful I have never seen that in my whole life ! Even the stones of the graveyard were painted with figures, or faces !
But she came back half dead, 12 h flight and an awful bus !

    1. That must have been a wonderful trip. Twelve hours won't get us far by plane. Try flying 22 hours, Melbourne to London, or longer depending on the stopover.

  8. The indigenous people of what is now Victoria lived in harmony with the land for 50,000 years. They treated their environment with respect and affection. Just look at what you and the other whiteys did in a mere 200 years.

    1. YP, we are well aware of it and it is discussed, even by those who you would think would just say, tough titties.
