Friday Funny

The late John Clarke as the spokesperson and Brian Dawe as the interviewer. The first is the straight clip and the second is of an American living in Spain watching the clip and commenting.

Friday Funny, not funny

Women might be good at multi tasking, but unlike men, they are lousy at anything practical.

Yes, I've done the head spin but always managed to stay on my feet...so far.

Funny Friday

Head to Linda's, in Quebec City, blog to see her latest offering of Just for Laughs humour. It's a simple theme and well done, and immediately reminded me of a scene in I Love Lucy where she and Ethel (I thought she was called Viv) were working on a sweet production line.

Not all the humour in I Love Lucy has held up, but while simple and silly, I think this clip has stood the test of time but oh god, how awful was canned laughter back then.

Howl me down, at your pleasure.

Friday Funny

I have such very weird algorithms. I must ask my doctor for a careful examination of my troublesome algorithms to find out why I am shown clips like this.

Friday Funny

The waiter was deadpan. It was funny to me, but what I think is AI at the end of the guy almost spitting out his coffee, just made it.

I'm away for a few days, and I'm staying next to a cemetery. I doubt my sleep will be disturbed by noisy neighbours across the road, and I'm sure there will be an interesting walk among the dead.

Catch ya soon, me maties.

Friday Funnies

I found these funny and maybe you will too.

If you are a regular public transport user of rail, you will know the nightmare of rail replacement buses. It's the conclusion of this short one that makes it brutally funny.

This longer one made me laugh too.

Thursday Theatrics

I don't have time to muck around with this, so all there is a link to a production of Romeo and Juliet performed in Poland Türkiye whereby an incident happened during the tragic scene of the just dead Romeo. I'm sure many of you will have seen the clip already.

Friday Funnies

Nothing too hilarious just a couple of vids that grabbed my eye.

I will be away for a few days. I vont to be alone. I do have a post scheduled for Monday. See y'all soon.

The old lady seems to be doing rather better on the conveyor belt than staff. But note how the luggage is all lined up and out of ther way. That is not my luggage carousel experience.

While Romania might have modern trams, it could really do with spending some money on its tram tracks.

Friday Funny

It's not really funny, but a bit amusing. It has just been added to our national sound archive.

Friday Funnies, the lazy edition

Lazy, because I will simply provide links to the linked videos in Jackie's post called Married Life.

At times you really have to feel sorry for the incompetent sex. Even in gay relationships, there is the incompetent but try hard partner.

I wear the wife's glasses while Phyllis and Kosov are in this household.

POV: You try your wife's glasses on

When he is cleaning but not in the way you would like. My comment about P&K above stands.

VIDEO

I know he won't get it right. I'll just ignore his efforts.

VIDEO

Yep, easier to do it yourself. See P&K comment above.

VIDEO

In this household, I am the OCD person.

POV: Daily struggles living with an OCD wife

Does the crime deserve such a severe response? It was an accident, honey.

Go to Jackie's blog to see a couple more.

Friday Funny

I don't like videos that insert text to insist that you watch to the very end, but in this case you must. It was the final few seconds that really cracked me up.

Friday Funny

Kitty Flanagan is a great actor and she is very good at stand up comedy too. In these clips she talks about tech and how non digital natives have adapted to the world of phones and tablets. And let's face it, if it isn't us, we will have all seen it happen.

Could I learn to text with my thumbs? I doubt it, and I text as I write here. It takes me longer to insert BRB and an emoji than it does for me to type it in full.

OMG, I am not suspicious but it is Friday the 13th today. TTFN.

Friday Funnies

You could check out Reese Brothers. There is no need for me to use explicit language, but fuck is said a few times.

The bewigged actor is quite hot.

But so is Teddy with his cool Aussie wog accent. His humour that I've seen is based on suburban stereotypes. He's become a successful comedian. https://youtube.com/shorts/YC2lxD9vW1M?si=zFTtA90jhdvOvdHs

Satisfying Saturday

The cows seem very satisfied with their new scratching facility.  They do like a good rub and scratch.

As I uploaded the video, a message arrived that it would not be viewable in some countries because of the accompanying music, Hall and Oats I believe. I investigated further, and I could silence the music or change it to some YouTube approved music, so that's what I did. It kinda works.

Friday Funny, or maybe not

If you have an active cat, you will get this video. On the face of it, it is amusing. But it doesn't take a third view to see how it is either faked or AI. Can you pick up the fakery immediately?

Some time ago I innocently posted the photo below. Apparently there are similar cliff face beds available in Ireland, but this one in China was the one I saw online. The problem is, no one can give a precise location or booking details. It simply must be AI. Outdoor beds on the Emerald Isle is an amusing thought. Ireland is very green, for good reasons, and again without a location or booking details.

It is concerning that what we see online can be fake and we don't know it is fake. Once I master the art of fakery, I will show you how handsome I am. Camera filters can only do so much.

Friday Funny

Later edit: I thought she was funny the first time I watched the clips. I watch funny clips more than once before using them here. After a couple of watches, I wasn't finding hers so funny. Still, with so many subscribers, there must be something in them. I will see what others think.

With a bit of introspection, I think what appealed to me about the clips were the two attractive racing car drivers, and how they interacted with her.

Why wasn't I told? Told about Amelia Dimoldenberg, that is. I find her amusing, and clearly so do her 3.32 million YouTube subscribers. She has being 'performing' for a very long time.

I am brand new to her channel, I've watched a few of her videos. They aren't long, and she seems to have an unhealthy interest in motor car racing drivers. That's ok with me.

Firstly, the English racing car driver Lando Norris.

And the Australian driver, Oscar Piastri.

Friday Phunnie, the gay edition

Not that gay really, but does contain some gay content...and that means sex. Remember that?

Last Tuesday

It was the day of Kosov's birthday. Coincidently Hairdresser Friend had asked if I was free for a dinner catch up. She said to bring the lads if they were free. Kosov's night off work is Tuesday, so here we go. This looks like a plan.

Hairdresser Friend suggested an Indian restaurant in Fitzroy Street, St Kilda called Mukka. Sounded fine, so she booked. There were nine of us, including my neighbour HH, with who we three caught a tram with her to the restaurant.

The service wasn't fast but no one was in a rush and there was nice intermingling and chat. It was a very pleasant evening.

Now dear readers, I have a question. Neighbour HH turns 80 mid November. She told her son she would be away, presumably to avoid any birthday celebrations. Isn't that so silly 🤨. I am not sure that she will be. She has a decent sized family and quite a few friends, so I expect she will receive plenty of flowers. What can I do that is special? Flowers or chocolates, ho hum.

I did have a thought though. What about arriving at her door with the three of us with a couple of dozen helium balloons to set free to float up to her apartment ceiling? They will have ribbon tails, and if good quality will remain suspended for a few days.

It's Friday, so a little humour. No, its Saturday here but it is Friday somewhere.

Yes, I did.

I remember the late Sue doing this once.

I know one blogger, I forget who, posted this deck one before. Deck is best pronounced with a New Zealand accent.

What a dame

Patricia Routledge has died at the age of 96. One can't grieve too much over a peaceful death at that age. What a trooper she was, from theatre including musicals, to film and tv.

Most of us will remember her from Keeping up Appearances, where she played Hyacinth Bucket. Gay men straight away picked up on the humour, and used lines like, 'Don't brush against my walls', "Would  you like your coffee in a hand painted periwinkle cup?" "Best you have a beaker". "How much Sheriden? Talk to your father." "Mind the pedestrian, Richard", as someone opened their front door.

Of course I need a Hyacinth clip to add to this post.

As has happened around the world, Australia is dangerously close to a swing to the extremist far right, with our political party One Nation....
