Town Hall Trippy

I think the 'experience' was open for three or four days, and it was a few minutes of my time, and obvious to me, a few minutes of the time for others.

I'd forgotten that Melbourne Town Hall is such a wonderful place.

If I say anything about the massive organ, it will trigger some people.

I had to edit this video because as I went to turn the camera off, I hit the button to switch to the front camera, capturing some old bloke whose visage did not impress me. I trimmed it off. I also forgot about turning your phone sideways for a wider view, does not translate well as a video clip.

    1. It is JayCee, and that is only some of the building, the street facing balcony being where The Beatles appeared to screaming and fainting young women.

  4. Was that blowing sheet experience supposed to represent something? Was it a free entry or did you pay to watch that?

    1. I've no idea River. I would not have paid to see it, so yes, it was free, and very popular. I am not sure that my video captured it well.

  5. Most city halls are stuffed with little organs that think they are huge.

  6. For my six years of high school, we went each year to the Melbourne Town Hall for my school's speech night. The elegant town hall was very appropriate for important speeches, music and prize giving.

    1. Hels, it is such a fine venue for all kinds of things, and it seems well utilised.

  7. So different than our "new" city hall at Nathan Philips Square. The old one is now empty as they figure out what to do with it. It is now open on Fridays so we can visit and take photos which you couldn't do when it was operating as a courthouse.

    1. Jackie, I'm sure a use will be found for it but it will no doubt need money spent on it.
